Union College Fire Safety Missions StatementIt is the responsibility of the Department of Campus Safety/EHS to develop, implement and oversee environmental health & safety programs that will positively impact work, study and living conditions at Union College. It is the ultimate goal of this department to provide a work and academic environment free from all safety hazards and negative stress that effect the environmental health of the College community. The department also functions as technical consultants in determining existing or potential safety and health hazards, advising as to the elimination or control of those hazards. The department staff is available to provide interpretations of current regulations, laws and codes as they pertain to College operations. The department is also responsible for periodic inspections of the Colleges facilities and operations to determine compliance to applicable regulations, laws and codes that govern the College’s environmental health & safety. The staff is available at any time to assist with emergency situations. |
