Early Decision and Early Admission

Grant Hall After considering your college options, and perhaps having visited the campus and/or interviewing, you may decide that Union is your first choice. In that case, you should consider an Early Decision application.

Early Decision applications are considered at two times during the year. For Early Decision I, the application and credentials are due by Nov. 15 and decision letters are mailed by Dec. 15; for Early Decision II, the application and credentials must arrive by Jan. 15 and the decision letters will be mailed by Feb. 1. Students applying under Early Decision have made a commitment to come to Union if admitted.

If you are not admitted under the Early Decision plan, your application may be transferred to the regular applicant group, or you may be denied.

Early Decision applicants are favored in the admissions process.

Early Admission candidates are students who choose to matriculate at college after their junior year in secondary school. You should visit the campus for an interview if you are applying for Early Admission.
