Financial Aid
Our Commitment
Many people believe that the aphorism 'you get what you pay for' applies as much to college as anything else. But with many colleges, including Union, there's an interesting and vitally important twist - you actually get more than your money's worth.
- Every applicant is considered individually.
- We work to overcome unusual circumstances.
- We urge you to ask questions when in doubt.
With a commitment like that, we hope it is evident why we feel so comfortable urging families to choose 'college first, price tag second.'
Our Resources
This year, Union College will award more than $25 million of its own funds to students in the form of scholarships, loans, and jobs. Such awards are made with no discrimination as to sex, race, national origin, handicap, or religious belief.
The College also will administer and allocate about $1,800,000 in federal funds under the Perkins Loan, the Supplementary Educational Opportunity Grant, and the College Work-Study programs.
And we will process about $9 million in various New York State scholarship programs, the Pell Grant program of the federal government, and the federal Stafford Loan and Parent Loan programs.
Bottom Line
We are here to make a Union education possible!
