Why should you participate in The Union Fund this year (and every year)?

Alumni participation is a measure of how alumni are feeling about their alma mater for U.S. News and World Report rankings of college and universities- one of the most visible publications around.
Foundations and corporations look at the strength of alumni support when making decisions about their gifts and grants to colleges like Union.
Although the cost of attending Union College is quite high, every student's tuition is subsidized by The Union Fund. It's time to support the current Union College students just as you were supported by those who came before you.
Simply put, Union College deserves your support!

Volunteers

Volunteers are the backbone of The Union Fund. Peer to peer contacts are the best way to reconnect alumni with Union College and to encourage continued gifts to the College. Click here to see how your class is doing for this year's Union Fund!

ReUnion Giving

Each year we welcome back thousands of alumni, family and friends for ReUnion. One big way to celebrate your reUnion is by giving a reUnion gift to The Union Fund. A special effort is made for each class in reUnion in order for the class to make a big impact in their celebration year.

Leadership Giving

Union College's leadership gift society is called The Terrace Council which recognizes annual gifts of $2,000 or more per year. Young alumni can join The Terrace Council at a reduced rate ($200 times the number of years they have been out of school) and are called Golden Idols.

Consecutive Giving

Our consecutive giving society is called the Waldron Roll. In 1912 Charles Waldron, Class of 1906, started an alumni fund designed to encourage alumni involvement with, and support of, the College. Now in its 95th year, The Union Fund annually gives alumni, parents and friends of Union College the opportunity to invest in the College's present and future success. It is this annual giving which the Waldron Roll recognizes and celebrates. Regardless of the monetary amount, Waldron Roll members receive recognition once they have made a gift in two consecutive fiscal years. Special recognition is also given to those giving consecutively for 5, 10, 15 and 20 or more years.
