Pendulum Labyrinth Installation is a site-specific installation created by Union Alumni D. Shayne Aldrich ’98 and Tina Tacorian ’03. This beautiful, walk-able sculpture was inspired by the movement of a pendulum, and refers to the passage of time. Its faceted perimeter echoes the deeply symbolic architecture of the Nott Memorial. |

Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholars Lecture Welcomes Dr. William Wulf Dr. Wulf, a researcher and entrepreneur of computer science, was President of the National Academy of Engineering, the engineering arm of the National Academy of Sciences and the nation’s pre-eminent organization of innovators. In that time, his reputation among his fellow engineers has only grown. Join us for a lecture entitled, "Improving the US’s Innovation Ecology" There is an ecology of interacting laws, regulations and institutions that are intended to support innovation - a traditional strength of the U.S. Unfortunately, the current elements of that ecology were designed a long time ago for the technologies that existed at that time and are not well suited to the technologies of today and tomorrow. This talk explores the nature of the problem and some possible solutions.
