Music gets a jazzy new home at Union
The $4 million makeover of the North Colonnade is nearly complete. Now it's time to make some music.


College wins prestigious CASE award
Union College has won a prestigious Silver Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for its 2005 Homecoming and Family Weekend Program.


Union volunteers back from second visit to Katrina area
Twenty-two Union College students and two faculty mentors who recently spent a week helping out in the Katrina-ravaged area of New Orleans say their work has just begun.

College mourns Hedda Hainebach
Hedda Hainebach, of Niskayuna, N.Y., longtime coordinator of the College’s language lab and an ardent supporter of the Union College Chamber Music Series, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007. She was 92.

Dada, a leading European provider of Web and mobile community and entertainment services listed on the Italian Stock Exchange (DA.MI), is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Spencer as the Chief Executive Officer of Upoc Networks Inc.


John E. Kelly III '76 cited by Rensselaer
ohn E. Kelly III '76, a Union trustee and senior vice president of technology at IBM, received the Davies Medal for Engineering Achievement from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Alumni Association on Dec. 7, 2006.


Amy Rilling '98 takes lead role in play about L.A.
Rilling has played a nurse in three episodes of the popular TV series, "Scrubs." She also has appeared in the films "Contend," "Hide and Seek" and "The Devil and Daniel Webster."


Alumni Writers Series to feature Nikki Beland '96
Nikki Beland ’96, a freelance journalist and deputy editor of Women’s Health magazine, will speak Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Arts 215 as part of the English Department’s year-long program, Writers Return: Alumni Writer Series. A reception will follow at Wold House.
