Frequently Asked Questions
When and what time is the Career Fair?
February 17, 2009 from 4:00-7:00 pm
How do I register?
Because we have limited space (space for 80 employers), invitations are sent to employers. Included with the invitation is the registration form. Invitations typically go first to those employers that recruit on-campus.
Is there a fee for participation in the Career Fair?
Yes, the registration fee for the event is $100 per employer ($50 for non-profit organizations).
What does my registration fee include?
Your registration fee covers the cost for participation of two representatives from your organization including a table, two chairs, publicity and a dinner buffet.
When is registration payment due and in what form is payment accepted?
MasterCard or Visa credit cards will be accepted. We cannot accept American Express cards. Corporate checks are also accepted. Payment is due three weeks before the event.
What if I would like to bring more than two representatives from my organization?
If you would like to bring more than two (2) representatives, a fee of $25 per person will be assessed to your company/organization, in addition to the registration fee.
What building is the event held in?
The event will be held in our spacious College Park Hall. It accommodates drive up display drop off and check in with close, ample parking. (Please note however, parking is not reserved.)
What time can I set-up my display?
You may set up your table display beginning 1½ hours before the event. During that time and throughout the evening a buffet will be available to you.
Can I request an electrical outlet?
Outlets and extension cords are available in limited quantities and will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
Will my job/internships be advertised to students?
Yes. We will publicize your position description in our employer directory, which will be given to each student attending the career fair. We will also include all opportunities in our web-based job/internship database.
What should I expect from the students?
Obviously, many students will be looking for full-time positions following graduation in June. In addition, you should expect a large number of students to be looking for internships. Finally, you can also expect to interact with some students who are at the exploration stage of career planning and just want to learn more about companies and careers.
