Film artist Leighton Pierce to show works

Film and video artist Leighton Pierce will present a show of his works on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 8:15 p.m. in Arts 215.

The event, sponsored by the honors Freshman Preceptorial and Departments of Visual Arts and English, is open to the campus community.

Pierce, a professor in the film program at the University of Iowa and a Guggenheim Fellow, has shown his films at the Whitney Biennial and the Museum of Modern Art. His work combines technical innovation with attention to lyrical combinations of sound and image.
