Prof. Rice co-authors journal articles with former students

Steven K. Rice, associate professor of biology, has co-authored two papers with former students. "Impacts of the exotic, nitrogen-fixing black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) on nitrogen-cycling in a pine-oak ecosystem," was published in the journal Plant Ecology (174: 97-107), was written with Bryant Westerman '01 and Robert Federici '02. "Cushion size, surface roughness, and the control of water balance and carbon flux in the cushion moss Leucobryum glaucum (Leucobryaceae), in American Journal of Botany (91: 1164-1172) was written with Nicole Schneider '03.
