Post to discuss costs of college on WAMC Youth Media Project
Beth Post, director of financial aid and family financing, will tape a segment of the "Youth Media Project: Student Town Meetings" on WAMC/Northeast Public Radio on Tuesday, April 25, at the AMC Performing Arts Studio in Albany.
The program, to be moderated by WAMC President Alan Chartok, is titled "Is a College Education Still an Affordable Part of the Middle-Class American Dream?" It will focus on the financial costs of higher education and feature a number of college experts, who will discuss the topic with students from Duanesburg Central High School.
It is being taped for broadcast on WAMC's afternoon program, The Speakers' Corner, in May.
The Youth Media Project is intended to foster thoughtful public debate and encourage young people to become part of the public radio audience. The project recently received the Program of Excellence Award from the New York State Council for the Social Studies.
