IEF, FRF, HDF deadlines near

Wednesday, May 17 is the deadline for proposals for the Internal Education Foundation (both student-initiated research projects and "educationally innovative projects"), Faculty Research Fund and Humanities Development Fund.

Submit student-initiated research proposals (which must have written approval of a supervising faculty advisor) to the director of undergraduate research (Science & Engineering, S100). Forms are available in S&E, S100, or at http://www.union.edu/Academics/AcademicAffairs. Submit educationally innovative proposals to the dean of Arts & Sciences (S&E, S100) on forms available there, or at http://www.union.edu/Academics/AcademicAffairs.

Questions about student-initiated research should be directed to Mary K. Carroll, director of undergraduate research, at carrollm@union.edu. Questions about educationally innovative projects go to Dean Charlotte Borst's office.

The Research and Grants Committee is seeking proposals for faculty research and scholarship activities. Applications and guidelines are available in Dean Borst's office (Science & Engineering, S-100) or at http://www.union.edu/Academics/AcademicAffairs. Or contact Dean Borst at borstc@union.edu.

All research that includes work with human subjects must have preliminary approval from the Human Subjects Research Committee.
