Research by Cool leads to creation of health care plan

The Mellon College Retirement Project, a research project by Linda Evers Cool, professor of Anthropology, and her husband, Kenneth E. Cool, a former administrator at Vassar College, has led to the creation of Emeriti Retirement Health Solutions, a nonprofit health care plan for higher education institutions. The Cools' conducted their research through mid-2000. The new health plan was featured in an article titled, "For Retirees' Health Care, a Balancing Act," in the Sept. 29 issue of The Chronicle of Higher Education.
