Chamber favorites David Finckel and Wu Han return Sunday

Cellist David Finckel and pianist Wu Han present "A Portrait of Romanticism: Lyric Works for Cello and Piano" at Memorial Chapel Sunday, Jan. 7 at 3 p.m. Appointed directors of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in 2004, Finckel and Han will be returning for their 15th concert series recital.
The program traces the Romantic period's influential path of music throughout the 19th century. The stage is set with Franz Schubert's sonata in a minor, ‘Apreggione,' moves into the height of the Romantic era with the sonatas of Richard Strauss and Edvard Grieg and concludes with Serge Rachmaninov's ‘Vocalise.'
