Hawley award nominees sought

Faculty members are asked to help continue an important Union tradition – the Gideon Hawley Teacher Recognition Awards – by encouraging first-year students and sophomores to nominate a secondary school teacher who has made a significant difference in their lives.

The award is named for the 1809 Union graduate who was a pioneer in education and teacher development. Award recipients, selected on the basis of the Union students' essays, will be honored at Founder's Day Feb. 22.
