Sorum portrait by Hatke to be unveiled

The Faculty Executive Committee invites the Union community to the formal unveiling of the portrait of Christina Elliott Sorum by Walter Hatke, Thursday, May 31, 4-5 p.m., in Hale House. The ceremony starts at 4:30. Christie Sorum was the Frank Bailey Professor of Classics and served as vice president for Academic Affairs and dean of the Faculty from 1999 to 2005. A gift from the faculty to the College, the portrait will hang in Hale House. Hatke, the May I. Baker Professor of Fine Arts, teaches drawing and painting at Union.
