Philosophy sponsors talks

The Philosophy Department presents two lectures, one on animal rights, the other on Kant.

Reina Hayaki of Georgia State University will speak on "Do Americans Have a Moral Obligation to Be Vegetarians?" on Thursday, April 21, at 7 p.m. in Green House. The talk is part of "The Owl of Minerva: A Philosophical Café."

Prof. Robert Howell of the University of Albany will give a philosophy colloquium on "Kantian Objects" on Thursday, April 28, at 4:30 p.m. in the Phi Beta Kappa Room at Schaffer Library.
