Into the fold: Union's first "Folding for Peace" effort was begun by Tokyo native Camille Mori ’10 and the Asian Student Union. Students, faculty and staff folded 1,000 paper origami cranes, which were strung together in bands of 100 and sent to the World Peace Monument in Hiroshima, Japan.

Into the fold: Union's first "Folding for Peace" effort was begun by Tokyo native Camille Mori ’10 and the Asian Student Union. Students, faculty and staff folded 1,000 paper origami cranes, which were strung together in bands of 100 and sent to the World Peace Monument in Hiroshima, Japan.

Promoting literacy: Theta Delta Chi brothers Jamie Nichols and Bradley Wilhelm, Rocio Montero of the Kenney Community Center and Karen Quigley, assistant manager of the Union Bookstore, worked at the Kenney Community Center Book Drive to collect new children's books for America Reads and Studying Arithmetic in Literature (SAIL). The campus community donated 193 books valued at nearly $2,000.
