SCENE ON CAMPUS

High on literature: It didn't take much to get Khaled Hosseini’s best-selling novel, “The Kite Runner,” off the ground Thursday. For the second year in a row, the book sparked lively conversation between Union and Schenectady High students. This year, the number of high school students participating nearly doubled, reaching 81. They were joined by eight Union undergraduates and one graduate student, each of whom led small group discussions in Beuth, Sorum and Green Houses.
