SCENE ON CAMPUS

The College staged a public reading of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at the Nott Memorial Monday. The reading was the culmination of an exhibit at Schaffer Library, “Dickens in America,” chronicling Dickens’ two celebrated tours, in 1842 and 1867-68. The reading commemorated Dickens’ rousing public performance at Tweddle Hall in Albany, March 1868.

Great expectations: Monday's Dickens event at the Nott Memorial drew "a dream turnout," according to Librarian Annette LeClair. "What a wonderful mix," she said. "Students, alumni, parents, faculty, emeriti faculty, staff, Friends of the Library, folks from the community and children."
