Books for Bombay: $3,000 raised

Some $3,000 in flood relief funds raised by Union faculty and staff will be used to buy books for the Chandibai College library in Mumbai, whose books were destroyed by flood waters over the summer.

A notation in each volume will say, "Donated by Union College, Schenectady, New York."

Said Eshragh Motahar, associate professor of economics and chair of the India Faculty Exchange Program with the University of Mumbai: "The managing trustees of the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board in Bombay extend their heartfelt thanks for the wonderful gesture of Union College."
