David Hemmendinger writes for Encyclopedia
David Hemmendinger, associate professor of computer science, has written two long articles for Encyclopedia Britannica. "Programming Languages" and "Computers", the lead article on its topic, both will appear in the online and printed versions of the encyclopedia. Last month, he wrote three shorter articles for the EB, "Data Compression," "Computer Graphics," and "Computer Memory." He has been commissioned to write five more entries.
