Deconstruction Party Set for Friday

Since it's spring, it had to happen – a party celebrating, well, a mess. A "Deconstruction Party" planned for Friday, May 2, at 4 p.m. east of Reamer Campus Center will feature a picnic with free food, music and entertainment that will include a mudslide and a visit from Joseph Jacques Ramée. The event has been planned by the Olin/Schaffer Impact Committee to "celebrate the beginning of construction projects and to encourage people to think positively about the temporary inconvenience of the building projects."

With pile driving continuing at the Schaffer Library construction site, the College has awarded the contract for the F.W. Olin Center to Pike Construction Co. of Rochester, N.Y., the same firm that is managing the library project.
