Orchestra to Play on Saturday

The Union College Orchestra under the direction of Prof. Tim Olsen, will perform on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m. in Memorial Chapel. The program includes Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 3, the first movement of Dvorak's Symphony No. 8 in G Major as well as the premiere of Olsen's Passacaglia for Orchestra. The orchestra also will perform three Duke Ellington works – Solitude, I Got it Bad and Caravan – arranged by Olsen and featuring soloists from the Union College Jazz Ensemble.
