College Mourns Loss of Two Emeriti

The College mourns the loss William T. Winne, professor emeritus of biology, who died Sunday at the age of 85. He taught biology, with a specialization in botany, at the College from 1946 to 1980. He received his bachelor's degree from Union, his master's and Ph.D. from Cornell University.

Robert W. Schaefer, who taught chemistry from 1952 to 1993, died June 30 at the age of 70. A lifelong Schenectady resident, he received his bachelor's degree from Siena College, and his master's degree from Union. He did postgraduate work at Rensselaer. Survivors include his wife, Joan. Contributions may be made to Ingersoll Memorial Home, Schenectady.
