David Hemmendinger, associate professor of computer science, is one of three editors of the fourth edition of the Encyclopedia of Computer Science (Macmillan Reference, U.K., and Grove's Dictionaries, U.S.), a 2,000-page volume which includes 623 articles by some 400 authors.
