What to do? See new Around U web site

They come each year like the leaves falling from the trees, the questions from new students and prospectives alike.

Where can we eat? Where can we stay? Isn't there a dance museum in Saratoga?

This year, we're ready.

It's called "Around U," a new web site that was designed for campus visitors, new students, parents … even old timers looking for new things to do.

The site invites the reader to "come explore Schenectady, where opportunities abound within an easy walk of Union's hillside campus."  It contains information about where to go to browse for books (try Jay Street), where to go for great Italian food (take your pick) and where to go for a Broadway-style musical (Proctor's, of course).

The site also includes links to some Capital Region attractions – museums, historical sites and outdoor activities – and some that are a bit farther afield – Cooperstown's Baseball Hall of Fame or the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Mass.

The College's admissions officers have brought bundles of postcards on their fall travels to guide prospectives and their families to the new site.
