Class of 2005 is 526 strong
The 526 members of the Class of 2005 represent one of the most selective groups in College history; Union sent letters of admission to 41 percent of the 4,000 who applied.
Together with 24 transfer students, the class represents 25 states, Canada, Bangladesh, India, Ecuador, China, Japan and Barbados.
About 100 frosh met the challenges of the Outdoor Orientation at Camp Becket in the Berkshires, where it was revealed that the group is well traveled with destinations including France, Spain, Venezuela, Ireland, Nepal and Israel.
An estimated 400 members of the Class took part in the sixth annual John Calvin Toll 1799 Community Service Day with projects ranging from painting railroad bridges and fences to clearing brush and planting flowers and shrubs.
