English dance class offers escape

You can escape the frenzy of the 21^st century and learn to dance with the beauty and grace of the 18^th century, as seen in Jane Austen films, according to a flier promoting a new four-lesson course in English country dance.

Classes meet weekly starting this Friday, Sept. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Performing Arts Studio. Instructor is Don Bell. Cost is $20, $10 for students.

"In no time at all, you will be gliding along to simple, smooth, flowing movements set to beautiful early classical music," reads the course description.
