Gerhan published studies on statistical techniques
David Gerhan, professor and head of public services and reference at Schaffer Library, has published "Statistical Significance: How It Signifies in Statistics Reference" in the Summer 2001 issue of Reference and User Services Quarterly, the principal professional journal for reference librarians. The article is the second of Gerhan's studies on statistical techniques, a better understanding of which would help practicing academic reference librarians. (The first study dealt with regression analysis.) In the new article, he teaches significance testing through food, beer, and baseball examples.
