Professor John Garver publishes articles

John Garver, professor of geology, was author of a paper (both with P.J.J. Kamp) in the journal Tectonophysics. "Integration of zircon color and zircon fission track zonation patterns in Orogenic belts: Application of the Southern Alps, New Zealand" appeared in a recent special issue on "Low Temperature Thermochronology: From Tectonics to Landscape Evolution." The paper details a discovery they made in New Zealand about the thermal structure of the crust manifested in radiation damaged zircon grains.
