Professor Megan Ferry presents paper at conference on media in China

Megan M. Ferry, Luce Junior Professor of Chinese, recently presented a paper, "Advertising, Consumerism, and Nostalgia for the New Woman in Contemporary China," at a conference on Media in China: Content, Consumption and Crisis Symposium, sponsored by AsiaLink and Melbourne Institute of Asian Languages and Societies in Melbourne, Australia. She was also interviewed on the subject of advertising and consumerism in contemporary China for Asia-Pacific Radio (part of Australian Broadcasting (ABC).
