Prof. Chu-LaGraff receives NIH grant
Quynh Chu-LaGraff, research associate professor of biology, made a presentation at the ninth International Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis conference in Chicago, "Expression of the Drosophila Palmitoyl Protein Thioesterase 1 protein during development." She also received an NIH-AREA grant for three years totaling $135,549 for a project, "Palmitoyl Protein Thioesterases in Neural Development." She co-authored a paper, "Characterization of Drosophila palmitoyl-protein thioesterase 1," in the journal Gene published on July 13, 2003. Other authors are R. Glaser, A. Hickey, and H. Chotkowski from the Wadsworth Center of the state Department of Health.
