Members of the investment committee of the Board of Trustees are making available to alumni a special bond offering on the former Ramada Inn property that is being converted to student housing for the fall of 2004.

The investment banker handling the issue, G.K. Baum and Company, is making it available to alumni only through Nov. 10.

The College has purchased the former Ramada Inn at 450 Nott Street in September to be renovated for student housing and has purchased two adjoining parcels on which it plans to construct athletic fields for college and community use. The College will spend $15 million on the project, bringing Union's total investment in the neighborhood west of campus to $26 million.
