This map shows the locations of the students' homestays. Starting from the west, Megan stayed in the village of Naivuvuni, just west of Narewa. Stephanie was in Narewa, Apryle in Vitawa. Michelle was the student living in "Rakiraki," actually in the village of Navutulevu, on the opposite side of Rakiraki from where we live. (The village called "Rakiraki" on the map is actually two adjacent villages, Navuavua, where we live, and Navutulevu, where the Michelle was). To the east were Andy in Nakorokula and Emily in Navolau No. 2. The place labelled "Vaileka" is the small town for this area, and Erinn lived in a small inland settlement called Drana, just east of town.

For a sense of the scale on this map, the distance from Naivuvuni to Navolau No. 2 is roughly 10 miles.
