Instructions for using Schaffer library's electronic resources
Therese McCarty
With one exception, the articles we will read in this course are available on-line through on-line journal collections to which the library subscribes. Because these collections are available by subscription only, you must be on a computer that is connected to Union's network in order to use them. The two collections that we will use most often are EBSCOhost and Proquest. You can access these through Schaffer Library's electronic resources page.
Instructions for EBSCOhost:
Click on the EBSCOhost logo.
print them.; Unfortunately, the print quality from full page image is not great.
Instructions for Proquest Direct
After you click on the Proquest logo, select
New search for publication and enter the journal name.
In Proquest you have two options for the way you view the article, "text and graphics," which it automatically gives you, or "page image," which you can select on the left hand side of the screen. "Text and graphics" has much better print quality, but you have to expand each table individually to be able to read it, which is a bother. As with EBSCOhost, you can use the magnifying glass to make the article more legible on the screen.
