How to: What is Connect NY?

Connect NY is a consortium of libraries within New York State dedicated to sharing research materials as efficiently and quickly as possible for faculty, staff, and students at the participating institutions.  The current members are Adelphi University, Bard College, Canisius College, Cazenovia College, Colgate University, Le Moyne College, Pace University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rochester Institute of Technology, St. Lawrence University, Siena College, Union College, U.S. Military Academy, and Vassar College.

What Material is Available in the Connect NY catalog and who can use it?

The total number of titles shared among these institutions is more than 4 million - almost all of which can be directly borrowed by Union faculty, staff, and students through a shared online catalog: Connect NY.

In general, books requested at Union College will be delivered from one of the other institutions in about 48 hours.  The loan period for these items is three weeks.  If Union owns a book you want, but it is checked out to another reader, the Connect NY consortium almost certainly will be able to provide the item.
