Union's Library Catalog is the database of the library's print and electronic collections. Check this catalog first. If the title you need is not owned by the library or is not available, (i.e. the book has already been checked out to another patron or the library does not subscribe to the journal title):

Looking for books that do not appear in the Library Catalog?

First, check Connect NY, a catalog of twelve New York academic libraries, and order books directly through Connect NY. Items will be delivered to the Circulation desk within two to four days.

If the title you want is not available through Connect NY, use ILLiad to place an interlibrary loan request.

Looking for journal articles from journals that do not appear in the Library Catalog?

First, use Schaffer Library Journal and Serial Titles to see if the article you need is available throughone of the library's subsription databases.

If the article you want is not available, use ILLiad to place an interlibrary loan request.
