How to: Request Interlibrary Loan Material

    New patrons or those who seek more complete ILL policy information should consult ILL FAQ.

    Only current students, faculty and staff of Union College may requestresearch materials through Interlibrary Loan.

    Please request all items using the library's Electronic Services Request Forms.  If you have questions about or need assistance with the electronic forms please contact Mary Cahill.

    Copies of periodical articles will be sent to undergraduate campus mail boxes, faculty offices, or graduate student departments.  Book arrival notices will be sent to the email address entered by you on your electronic request form.

    Books and other returnable items will be charged to the requestor's library account and shelved for pick-up at the Circulation/Reserve/Interlibrary Loan Desk.  Return books to the same desk.  DO NOT REMOVE ANY PAPERWORK OR PAPER BANDS attached to an ILL book.

    In order for books to be charged to a patron account the account must be valid and in good standing.  If you have been able to take books out from the library your account is most likely in good standing.  If you are unsure as to the status of your account please check with the Circulation Department at 388-6280 before requesting ILL.

    NO THESIS LOAN (EXTENDED LOAN) FOR ANY INTERLIBRARY LOAN BOOK.
