Adobe Acrobat Reader - Many of the electronic journals available from our online catalog and subscription databases are only available in PDF format. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free software that lets you view and print PDF files. In addition, many of the CD-ROMS located on the Library network have indexes attached. This version has search and accessibility functions. Acrobat Reader with Search lets you search a collection of PDF files on a CD-ROM or a local file system. It includes Acrobat Reader and two Acrobat plug-ins: Acrobat Search and AutoIndx.
RealPage - The Catchword service offers a variety of format options to view and download full-text articles including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe SVG, and RealPage. The RealPage plug-in provides the speed of HTML delivery with the page precision of PDF format. The plug-in will work on Windows Netscape versions 3 or above, or Windows Internet Explorer versions 3 to 5.5 inclusive. Internet Explorer version 6 does not support Netscape-compatible plug-ins and the current RealPage plug-in will not work with this browser; a version of the plug-in that is compatible with Internet Explorer 6 is planned.
