Hello. My name is Blakeny Peschel. I am a junior at Union College, majoring in anthropology and German Studies. After Union I plan to attend graduate school and receive a Ph.D. in classical archaeology and Assyriology. I am originally from the tri-state area (New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut). Iíve lived in Santa Barbara, California for the last 11 years, but I am now once again a permanent resident of New York State. I enjoy board games, puzzles, hiking, playing with my dogs, and studying martial arts.

My name is Ilana Prusock. I am from Westchester, New York. I am nineteen years old, and a sophomore here at Union. I wrote my own major so that it includes Russian, anthropology, psychology, and philosophy. I live in the language house because it gives me the opportunity to socialize with people who share my interest in languages and cultures.

Guten Tag und moin, moin! I am Katrin Schnötke from Germany (Cloppenburg) and I am the assistant teacher for German this year. For me, it is the first time in the USA and it is great to get to know so many people from different countries. Last summer I finished my studies in Germany and as soon as I am back this coming June, I have to go on with my education in order to become a teacher. You see, it is a fantastic possibility to improve my English and to get a new experience in teaching College students. I hope, that I can stay in contact with several people I met here! Tschüβ!
