How to edit the metadata (tags) for your mp3 files?

mp3 files content tags that can hold various information about the title of the song, author, year, genre, comments. It is useful to edit this information to get your files organized. This tip sheet will tell you how to do it in iTunes and Audacity.

Using iTunes

• Open iTunes.
• Right click (on Windows) or Control+click (on Mac) on the file that you want to edit the metadata for.
• Select the first option - "Get Info".

• Go to "Info" tab and fill in the information. Then click on "OK".

• The tags will be changed.

Using Audacity
