Implementation of WAC Guidelines

WAC courses will need to be re-certified every four years. Four was chosen because many departments cycle courses on a two-year rotation.

The re-certification will be as follows:

Faculty will be notified of the need to update WAC certification for a course and, if available, will be sent the form on file from their previous application. If there have been substantial changes, they can fill out a new application (a blank form will be sent to them.) If there have not been substantial changes, they can send in a copy of their latest syllabus for the course.  This has the added benefit of allowing the Board to establish a file of WAC syllabi for new faculty to consult.
