Internal Education Fund
In the 2008-2009 fiscal year, over 150 Union students were awarded IEF funding.
The Union College Internal Education Fund was established to promote educational innovation and to help enrich the College's educational programs. Each year, student IEF awards are given for student-initiated research proposals, generally associated with a student's senior thesis or project, or an independent study. These proposals are sponsored by a faculty member who agrees to monitor the student's progress. The primary objectives of the fund are to encourage intellectual curiosity, and to provide opportunities in which intellectual abilities are exercised.
