Project Description:

I studied the growing number of supporters of the Republican Party within the black community, and the growing number of blacks who identify themselves as Republican. Through my research, I explored variables that predict who will be more conservative in the black community. I was particularly interested in learning more about the reasons real people gave for being Republican because I felt that their reasons would go beyond all of the theories that have been expressed in political science literature.
