Goals for the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life
- Enhance religious and spiritual life and its practice. Students will be able to identify and secure needed resources and experiences that will facilitate their religious and spiritual life.
- Encourage respect for religious difference. Students will plan and implement programs and reflection methods designed to increase their multi-faith understanding. They will be able to identify and articulate aspects of their own tradition in such a way as to educate students from other faith backgrounds.
- Facilitate the integration of intellectual life with spiritual and religious teachings or experience. Students and other community members will engage the rich intellectual offerings of their tradition, or other traditions, to deepen their experience and practice.
- Advocate for religious and spiritual exploration as a part of student identity formation. Staff for the Office of Religious and Spiritual life will engage other offices and individuals as to promote institutional understanding of student engagement with their spiritual and religious life.
