Computer Loans

The College seeks to encourage technology awareness by employees and their families. Full Time employees, after one year of service, may borrow the funds (up to $2,250) to purchase a laptop or desktop computer, printer and/or operating software from the College Bookstore or outside vendor. Loan repayment is done through payroll deduction over a maximum twenty four (24) month period. Employees are eligible for more than one computer loan in the course of their employment, however any additional loan can only be granted following completion of the previous loan. Please contact Joanne Herrick, x6105, for an appointment.

Payroll

The timesheets you submit for the period ending December 19 will be used for the January 2,2009 payday. You will need to submit these to Payroll no later than December 22 due to the holidays.

Direct Deposit

If you do not currently have your paycheck direct deposited to your bank, please consider enrolling today. With direct deposit you have:

  • Added security because you never have to worry about a stolen or lost check
  • Convenience because there is no need to go to the bank.
  • Reliability since your money is deposited and available on payday even if the bank or the College is closed.
  • Many banks offer incentives to employees with direct deposit, such as free checking and other services.
  • Help the environment by moving to a paperless solution.
Vacation Reporting

Employees may carryover a maximum of 40 hours of unused 2008 vacation.  In January, vacation balances will be reduced to the maximum 40 hours in accordance with policy. Salaried employees who did not report any vacation time for 2008 will have their balance reduced to zero.

Mileage Reimbursement Rate

The current College mileage rate is 50.5 cents per mile.
