UNION COLLEGE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning in Fall 2010. Teaching responsibilities will be principally in organic chemistry at the introductory level, with additional obligations in upper-level and general chemistry courses. The candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry or a related field, postdoctoral experience and the potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and research. Candidates who can contribute to the College’son going interdisciplinary activities in Biochemistry are especially welcome. Applicationsmust include a CV, a statement on the applicant’s background and interests inteaching, and an outline of research interests (three-page maximum). These materials should be e-mailed as a single pdf file to chemsearch@union.edu or mailed to Professor Mary K.
