Summary
Union College, a liberal arts institution located in Schenectady, New York is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Coach of Men's and Women's Swimming. The men and women's swimming program is a member of NCAA Division III and the Liberty League. Union College sponsors 25 intercollegiate sports, 23 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at Division I.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with recruiting; monitoring the academic progress of swimming student-athletes; assisting with practice planning; communicating effectively with student-athletes, parents, alumni and administration; and performing various duties within the Athletics Department.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required. Previous collegiate coaching or swimming experience preferred. Must possess solid organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and have the ability to identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to Union College. Must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, along with a philosophy compatible with a multi-classified liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards.
