Fossil fuel energy byproducts are some of the most widely distributed and dangerous global pollutants. U Sustain strives to find ways to decrease energy consumption and to expand the use of renewable energy on campus. Check out some of the solutions Union is implementing.

Dining
U Sustain is working to increase the environmentally-friendly food options (fair trade, organic, locally-grown) on campus. Union has its own vegetable graden. Organic and local Ozone Cafe is very popular. Also, the use of biofuels and composting are being advanced as quickly as possible. Check the Dining page for more solutions.
Transportation
In addition to several initiatives, Union College is proud of what's already in place: a pedestrian-friendly campus, a campus trolley, green campus-safety cars, and recycling some oil from dining services into biofuels for use in vehicles.
