Hardware Support
Faculty/Staff Office Computers
Triage all hardware problems with computers, printers, scanners, etc.
Coordinate sending faculty equipment out for repair.
Perform basic upgrades such as installing memory, hard drives, etc. Install printers, scanners, and other computer peripherals.
Relocate compute equipment.
Faculty/Staff Personal Computers
ITS only supports hardware owned by Union College.We do not provide any hardware support for personally owned computers, even if they are used for academic purposes.
ITS can recommend local computer service & repair firms.
Additionally, the Bookstore has the ability to service computers that were not purchased through the Bookstore. Please contact Computer Sales at x2402 for more information.
Departmental Lab Computers
Each department is responsible for having a full-time employee in charge of labs. This person should do the initial triage of hardware problems.
ITS will provide back-up support.
Student Owned Computers
ITS does not provide any hardware support for student owned computers.
Maintenance of computers purchased from the Bookstore are handled through the Bookstore. Additionally, the Bookstore will service (in some cases) computers purchased elsewhere.
